May 2010 - Things to DoHow do you spend your weekends? Singapore's 600 square kilometers pack an amazing punch when it comes to finding things to do. Here are just a few of the latest suggestions to make it to our list: watch IMAX movies, learn about Straits Chinese culture, fly high on the Singapore Flyer or on forest canopy zip lines at Forest Adventure, or check out Sentosa's latest attraction - Universal Studios. Check out other ways to have fun in Singapore in our Things to Do section.
February 2010 - Chinese New YearGong xi fa cai! February marks the Chinese lunar new year, and all of Singapore is decked out to welcome the Year of the Tiger. New year celebrations include the spectacular Chingay Parade, lion dances, decorations in Chinatown and more festive events. Catch other annual events in 2010 by keeping up to date with the Events Calendar. October 2009 - Getting AroundNow that the excitement from the 2009 Singapore F1 Grand Prix has settled down, it's time to go back to more mundane ways of getting around the city. Singapore's popular transit card, the EZ-Link card, has just completed switching over to a new version. If you missed your chance to exchange your old EZ-Link card (which ended October 7), you can still get a refund on your existing card value but will need to pay $15 for a new card. This covers the $5 card deposit and $10 initial travel value. The new CEPAS-compliant EZ-Link cards can store up to $500 and will be able to be used in car readers for paying ERP tolls. Read more about Singapore public transit options in the Getting Around section. June 2009 - Shopping in SingaporeIt's the Great Singapore Sale! To celebrate, we've got a new Shopping section. If you've just arrived and need to stock up on items that you didn't bring over from home, check out our shopping tips for food, furniture and fixtures, kids' things, and more. May 2009 - A New LookWe've got a new look! The new site layout comes with a new article on the cost of living in Singapore and an updated list of fun things to do (up to 30 and counting). The Events Calendar is back, with a selection annual events and festivals. See what's happening in Singapore this month. Enjoy! March 2009 - Weekend BreaksPlanning a short holiday?
